Privacy policy
Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third-party servers. The only personal data we ever receive is what you type into the questionnaire yourself.
1. Controller
Fried Ventures GmbH, Schwiebusser Straße 43, 10965 Berlin, Germany. Email: info@velocaddie.com. Full details in the imprint.
2. What we do not do
- No cookies are set by this website.
- No web analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags.
- No fonts, scripts or images are loaded from third-party servers — everything is served from this domain.
- No social media plugins.
- No data is sold or passed to advertisers, ever.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser necessarily transmits technical data to the hosting infrastructure, which may be recorded in log files: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system.
This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to maintain its security and stability. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website).
Because Netlify is a US company, personal data may be transferred to the United States. Such transfers take place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses contained in Netlify's data processing addendum, which we have concluded with Netlify as our processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. The questionnaire
If you complete the questionnaire, we process the answers you give (how often you cycle to golf, distance, preferred version, expected price, free-text comments), your email address, and — if you choose to enter it — your country or city.
Purpose: to develop the product, and to send you occasional
updates about it by email.
Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, given by ticking the
consent box before submitting.
Processor: submissions are received and stored through Netlify
Forms (see section 3).
Retention: until you withdraw your consent, and in any case no
longer than needed for the purpose above. Withdrawal is possible at any time with
effect for the future — an email to
info@velocaddie.com is enough, and it does
not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Providing the data is voluntary. There is no obligation to complete the questionnaire, and no disadvantage if you don't.
A hidden anti-spam field is included in the form. It is not evaluated for any purpose other than discarding automated submissions.
5. Contacting us by email
If you write to us, your message and contact details are stored in order to handle the enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to pre-contractual measures. Our mailbox is hosted by Zoho Corporation B.V. Data is deleted once the enquiry is settled and no statutory retention period applies.
6. Fonts
The typefaces Manrope and Fraunces are served from this website's own domain under the SIL Open Font License. No connection to Google Fonts or any other font CDN is established, and no data about you is transmitted to a font provider.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
- have your data erased (Art. 17)
- restrict processing (Art. 18)
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
- withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))
To exercise any of these, write to info@velocaddie.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us that is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
8. Changes
As the project develops this policy may be updated. The version published here always applies.
